one handful (or two) of spinach
half an avocado
one banana
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil
3 dates
rice milk/water/coconut water to your liking
optional: protein powder, superfood powders
Ever since I made this smoothie the first time around 3 months ago, I can’t make any other smoothie than this.


It’s creamy, it tastes sweet (with no added sugar!), it packed full of green goodness and the fats in here help me stay focussed on my work (especially useful in the morning when we are the most productive!)


It’s super simple to make, and generally I usually have all the ingredients in my kitchen at all times (so no late rushes to the store needed!) I am also not a fan of having to measure out each portion of my smoothie – I just grab a handful of this and a scoop of that….(makes cooking much faster/easier/and more fun!)
 Spinach is high is vitamins A, C and K which helps in promoting healthy skin and immune function.


Avo is a high fat food that helps other nutrients like Vitamin A, D E And K get absorbed into the body (these nutrients are only fat soluble).


Chia Seeds contain high amounts of protein which the body uses as the building blocks of our body (think enzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters, muscles, organs…..get the picture?)


Dates are a great source of fibre and potassium for the body + they sweeten up our lives without being unhealthy!


Cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants (even more so than garlic or oregano) – antioxidants prevent us from aging too quickly!


Coconut Oil contains fatty acids that are absorbed via the liver and are turned into quick sources of energy for the brain!
